The dream that Joseph had interpreted for Pharaoh told of a time when crops wouldn’t grow in the land, a time like this is called a family. However, Joseph had been smart and had used Pharaoh’s dream as a sign he should store up grain to get them through the famine. People came from all around to get Joseph’s grain and his brothers were some of those people. Joseph could have chosen to be mean to his brothers for selling him into slavery, but he chose to be happy and forgave them.

Main Idea: God is with us and has a plan for us.
Joseph is now second in command of Egypt and had the power to punish his brothers for what they had done to him in the past, but he chose to be calm and forgive him. Blue is the color of calm. Joseph’s brothers had done a terrible thing to him, but Joseph told them that God had used it for good. God had a plan for Joseph to save the people of Egypt and even though it was hard for Joseph to go through the things he did, God always had a plan for him for his good.

Memory Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.” -Proverbs 3:5

Next Week: We will be starting a new series called “How to Train Your Emotions”.
