Hello kids and families!

I have a few things for you!

  • Remember to check out the new Bible lesson that posted today.
  • Lets memorize Philippians 4:4 together. "Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say Rejoice." It's a very uplifting and encouraging verse that helps us turn our eyes back to the Lord.
  • A new video is available for the whole family to enjoy!! It includes someone very special, a great song, and a wonderful message!

Please check it out! Here's the link: https://youtu.be/5RV41UVAENQ
  • Parents, please check your email today. I am emailing you some great resources for your kids including a Bible Study Outline (older kids), Bible Reading Chart (all ages)  Prayer Guide (all ages), and the Monthly Memory Verse Calendar (Phil. 4:4 is the verse for March).

**A very important update to everyone. Faith E. Church and all scheduled events have been cancelled through at least April 10th now.

Bible Lesson & Memory Verse (March 26th-April 2nd)

“Take Heart”

·     Pray together!

·     Worship Time (The kids should know these songs and the motions to least a couple of them.) Have a worship dance party!!
§  “Stand Together” https://youtu.be/8T0HWO8yQAI
§  “My Lighthouse” https://youtu.be/6Dkn6Wfr--Y
§  “Whole Lotta Change” https://youtu.be/pbTlBN0jUMc

·     Memory Verse this week:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” ~John 16:33

Hand motions are great with this verse! :)

PreK & Kindergarten:
Materials: Bible, blank pieces of paper, crayons/colored pencils/markers

Try memorizing “…But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

1.  Read the verse together.
2.  Color a picture of what you think this verse means. Parents, please make sure to talk through the whole verse with your kids so that they understand what it’s saying.
3.  Try memorizing the second part of it (see above).
4.  Tape your picture on your wall by your bed so that when you go to bed every night, you remember that Jesus is always in control and that He loves you very much.
Let me know how you’re doing with this

1st-3rd Grade:
Materials: Bible, notecards or a piece of paper, writing utensils.

1.  Read the verse aloud.
2.  Rewrite this verse in your own words. Parents may need to help with this.
3.  Then, hang it in your room, or on the bathroom mirror, or on the refrigerator. Some place you know you will see it. Make it colorful.

Discussion Questions:
a) What is this verse telling us?
b) Even when things are uneasy, or changing, or uncertain, how can this verse bring you peace.
c) Can you think of any other verses that could help you during challenging or hard time? Verses about God helping you, not worrying, verses about thankfulness even when life gets crazy, etc.
-      Parents, please guide your kids with this question. As a family, can you find at least 5 verses that you can write on notecards and hang around the house to remind you that Jesus is and will always be in control?

Make sure to check out this blog often for any updates, Bible lessons and activities, fun activities to do as a family, possible FaceTime/Skype opportunities, Zoom meetings, and so much more.  I will post new Bible lessons, a memory verse challenge, and application activity every Thursday.

How are you? Comment below (parents, please help the younger ones) and tell me how you're doing and how your family is?  Just make sure when you comment, you change the 'Comment as' setting from 'Google Account' to 'Anonymous'.  Just mention who it is in the comment. For example, Love, Lucy H. Parents, the comments are mediated and are emailed to me before it's posted so that I can decline any comments that are not coming from parents and kids. I miss seeing everyone's happy smiling faces! I want this blog to be a chance for all of us to stay connected.

I will upload Bible lessons, memory verse challenges, journaling topics/ideas, Bible Reading Plans, and more.

Walk in faith and trust God in the storm! He's in control.
