God gave Joseph the ability to interpret dreams and he helped his fellow prisoners interpret their dreams. One day the Pharaoh of Egypt had two bad dreams and no one in the kingdom could tell Pharaoh what the dreams meant. Then someone remembered that there was a man in jail named Joseph who could interpret dreams. Pharaoh sent for Joseph and with God’s help Joseph was able to help Pharaoh understand that his dreams help Egypt. Pharaoh was so pleased that in one day Joseph went from being a prisoner to being second in command of all of Egypt!

Main Idea: God is with us even if things don’t stay the same.
In today’s story, Joseph met Pharaoh who was royalty and purple is the color of royalty. Once Joseph met Pharaoh his life changed very fast and he suddenly found himself out of prison and second in command of Egypt. That’s a big change! Through it all, Joseph always trusted God. You can also trust God when life changes.

Memory Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.” -Proverbs 3:5

Next Week: We will be learning about how Joseph met his brothers again and what happened afterward.
